Adding a Google Issuer

Before you can create a Template and begin issuing passes, you must add a Google Wallet Issuer to your Badge workspace.

In order to issue passes on Google Wallet, Google requires that you have a Google Issuer. This is a free registration that enables distribution of passes.

Step 1 - Get your Badge Google Wallet Service Account Email

Locate the Google Wallet Service Account Email for your workspace. In your workspace navigate to Settings > Wallet Platforms > Google Wallet and click Add. Locate the Service Account Email and note this for Step 3.

Step 2 - Create a Google Pay & Wallet Business Profile

In the Google Pay & Wallet Console, either select an existing business or create a new business.

Step 3 - Invite the Badge Service Account

In the Google Pay & Wallet Console, select Users in the sidebar. Click Invite a user and enter the email from step 1. Select an access level of Developer or Owner.

Step 4 - Locate Issuer ID

In the Google Pay & Wallet Console, select Google Wallet API in the sidebar. You may be prompted to Build your first pass and agree to the terms of service before continuing. Locate the Issuer ID and note this for Step 5.

Step 5 - Add the Issuer ID in Badge

In your badge workspace navigate to Settings > Wallet Platforms > Google Wallet and click Add. Enter the Issuer ID from Step 4 and click Add Issuer.

Congrats! You've added a Google Wallet Issuer to Badge. You are now ready to begin creating Pass Templates.
